The Barth Syndrome Foundation's Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the mission and purpose of the organization. Its duties include participation in strategic planning and making policy decisions, then securing the financing of them and the monitoring of their execution. Members must be willing to attend the requisite meetings, follow through on commitments, and participate fully in the decision-making process. The board also presents the organization´s image to the community and solicits its support in achieving BSF´s goals. Members of the BSF Board of Directors serve three-year terms. Stacey Woodward
Stacey Woodward is the Assistant News Director at WBAL-TV in Baltimore, where she oversees a dynamic, multiplatform newsroom of more than 80 employees. She sets strategic goals, ensures accountability, and directs the team responsible for producing over 40 hours of local television news each week. Stacey also manages six-figure budgets and collaborates with corporate leadership on marketing initiatives and the overall direction of the newsroom.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from Syracuse University and has built a distinguished career in news leadership.
Beyond her professional work, Stacey is a dedicated mother of two boys, Connor and Ryan. Connor was diagnosed with Barth syndrome at 18 months, leading Stacey and her husband, Kevin, to become deeply involved with the Barth Syndrome Foundation. Stacey chairs the Fundraising Committee, while Kevin, a former Board member, serves on the Finance & Investments Committee.
The Woodward family lives in Phoenix, Maryland.
