The National Health Council's (NHC) annual Science of Patient Engagement Symposium for medical, scientific, and research leaders is a two-day meeting held in the fall each year in Washington, DC. At this meeting, research leaders share - with a broad scientific audience - their experiences, accomplishments, best practices, and resulting impacts on medicine and science regarding patient centricity. In 2018, more than 60 senior staff from NHC member organizations participated, representing patient advocacy organizations, professional societies, nonprofit health groups, and industry.
