In loving memory of Steven David Woodward (1974-2023), uncle of Connor Woodward who is affected by Barth syndrome. “The 31 Fund” was nicknamed after Steven’s lifetime hockey number of 31. Donations will go directly to the Family Services Fund and help to mitigate financial challenges that would prevent certain Barth syndrome-affected individuals and families from fully participating in BSF programs.
Steven David Woodward passed away unexpectedly April 1, 2023. He was just 49 years old. He is survived by his wife, Lea, and his three children, Griffin, Tucker and Camden. Steven was fiercely loyal and generous to his family and friends, a brilliant entrepreneur, and a storyteller extraordinaire. If he knew you and cared about you, there was nothing he wouldn't do to help and guide you. When he learned that his nephew, Connor, was born with what became Barth syndrome, he missed Father’s Day at home to spend it with his older brother, Kevin, and his wife, Stacey, in the Johns Hopkins NICU where Connor spent the first 5 weeks of his life. Steven then became engaged in every aspect of Connor’s life as he grew older. Connor adored him, and he always made Connor smile. Our family wishes for Steven’s generosity to continue on through this fund, even though he is now physically gone.
